Certificate of Chinese Herbal Medicine Program

Middle Way’s Chinese Herbal Medicine Certificate Program (CCHM) is a post-graduate 24-Month modular program in the study of Chinese Herbal Formulas and Single Herbs alongside appropriate Classical Chinese Medicine texts.

The format of this program utilizes monthly 4-Day Weekend Intensives with an integrated clinical schedule to effectively train students to become proficient and knowledgeable Chinese Herbal Practitioners.

Successful completion of the CCHM Program will qualify graduates to sit for the NCCAOM Chinese Herbology Examination.

Students will learn over 300 single herbs, 160 formulas, methods of preparation, dispensation and treatment.  In addition, promotion and establishment of ethical, sustainable, ecological, and healing relationships between the practitioner, the medicine, and the patient will be taught and encouraged.

Applicants must either be Licensed Acupuncturists, or currently enrolled in an ACAHM-accredited/pre-accredited master’s degree or master’s level program in Acupuncture.

Successful completion of this course will qualify graduates to sit for the NCCAOM Chinese Herbology Examination.

The Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine program offered by Middle Way Acupuncture Institute is approved to begin enrolling students but is not accredited or pre-accredited by ACAHM. This program is eligible for ACAHM accreditation, and Middle Way Acupuncture Institute is currently in the process of seeking ACAHM accreditation for the program. However, the Institute can provide no assurance that accreditation will be granted by ACAHM. Graduates of an unaccredited program are not considered to have graduated from an ACAHM-accredited program and may not rely on ACAHM accreditation for professional licensure or other purposes.
